Is he acting weird cos his friends are back?

so as you guys know! ive been seeing a guy for a week after meeting 5 weeks ago at a party, he emailed, and text me everyday over four weeks because we had our easter break and he came back to uni early to see me, we've been getting on wonderfully until yesterday. He didnt text me until i text him and when he did text he seemed distracted, his friends got back yesterday and he hasnt seen them in 4 weeks so im jus wondering if he's catching up with them and not texting me as much cos he doesnt want to appear 'under the thumb' or whatever...?
