Am I going to get a pat-down?

If you choose to go through the scanners, you do not need a pat down. Pat downs are only for someone who doesn't want to go through the scanner and if they see something suspicious on the scanner. If you're not hiding anything, you have nothing to worry about. And i you do happen to get a pat down, you will be quickly but professionally patted down by a TSA officer who is the same gender as you.
