Green parenting, to be or not to be?

The "safe the earth" project looks at ways of saving the earth from climate change (global warming) over population, famine etc. There is now a group that promotes childfree families (green parenting) as a contribution towards the problem of overpopulation. They are also asking for relaxation of laws on sterilization mainly on women and also to get cooperation from doctors to perform female sterilisation at an earlier age. The reason for the emphasis on women is that in a society/culture of multiple partners/marriages sterilization of men will not have any effect, It has also been shown that vasectomies have long term negative effects on men increasing the risk of getting Alzheimer/Dementia. Therefore women must take control of their reproduction/procreation. My question is: would you consider supporting green parenting and become a childfree woman?
